  1. Great blog! Do you have any recommendations for aspiring writers?
I’m hoping to start my own website soon but I’m a little lost on everything.
Would you recommend starting with a free platform like WordPress or go
for a paid option? There are so many options out there that I’m completely confused ..
    Any tips? Thanks a lot!

    • Congrats on starting the journey of being a writer! It’s a hard and often unrewarding road. High highs and low lows. If you want to start a website, I think WordPress is great. I’ve also used Wix in the past and actually found it easier and more customizable. The other important thing to consider is it’s not all free, you have to pay for a domain and a hosting site. When choosing a hosting site you want to consider the speed, as in how fast the website loads. I chose dreamhost but it’s a little slow (as you can see from how the site loads). I say before paying for anything try Wix for free, play around with it, make a blog or two, and then if you choose to transition to something else it will be easier.

    • I customized it (not paid persay). I pay for the hosting site. Thank you so much for the compliment! If I had better skills I’d change a few other aspects here but am not sure how to do it.

    • Okay this will sound stupid but does mine have a captcha plugin for the comment form? I didn’t think it did. I think I’m just using wordpress’s standard boldgrid comment form.
